On Sunday, January 30th 2022, we celebrated our school’s patron saint, Saint Sava! With the blessing of our father Djordje Cimesa, and with the efforts of students, professors and the entire team of our St. Sava Serbian school as well as the Stevan Jorgovic library , we have prepared a short program in honor of St. Sava. In addition to our students, we welcomed children from different cities in Serbia: Arandjelovac, Nis, Belgrade, Valjevo and Cacak, but also our guests from Malta who participated in our program for the first time, students and teachers of the Serbian school in Malta with their priest, Risto Gorancic. We hope that this is just the beginning of a future beautiful cooperation. His Excellency Dejan Ralevic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canada, Mrs. Marina Gavanski-Zisis, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Montreal and Mr. Vladimir Korutovic from the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, which has been supporting the work of our school and library for several years attended the ceremony. All of you that gathered virtually, have filled our hearts with joy and gratitude. May God reward you and Saint Sava bless you!
