In the last two months the reorganization of the Serbian Library here in Montreal has begun. The collection was obsolete and many books were in terrible and irreversible condition. The first task was to weed out and refresh the existing collection without any budget whatsoever. Also, to electronically record an inventory accessible to all. There is still much work ahead, but it will be worth it for several years and generations to come.
Thanks to the National Library of Serbia and Vesna Gluščević, yesterday we received our first shipment of 118 documents. The package contained 104 new books and 14 audio disks; great for those who are learning Serbian! Soon, we will be receiving more documents, a laptop, and a few new shelving units.
